“The most beautiful phase of your life. The pregnant woman is overjoyed ”. You hear this after the fourth morning vomit. Or after the sudden drop in pressure, which makes you cancel your appointments and leave your eldest son seeing a drawing. Or during a low back pain attack. Or when you feel sad, want to cry and even regret wanting to get pregnant
Why are you feeling so bad?
The nine months of pregnancy are a phase of profound transformation in the woman’s body, which is pushed to the limit in various situations. It is a time of physical and mental stress, which is generally not understood by others (especially in the beginning, where you do not yet have the belly to “justify” your tiredness). I put some tips to deal with the most common sensations of pregnancy:
1️⃣Sickness: ice, citrus popsicle, ginger tea, avoid having an empty stomach and also not eating too much in a meal. Beware of very hot or spicy foods. If a specific food makes you vomit: cut it for a while. Some remedies can help2️⃣Azia: avoid carbohydrates, coffee, fried foods and tomato sauce. Sleep with a taller pillow. There are medications too3️⃣Pain in the body: walking and weight training since the beginning of pregnancy, water aerobics, relaxing massage and lymphatic drainage (in case of edema), scalding, daily stretching, Spinning Babies, acupuncture..
4️⃣Insomnia: avoid screens two hours before sleeping, all dark room, earplugs for noise, peeing before bedtime, morning and night meditation, daily physical exercise5️⃣Sexless explanation: therapy, walking, meditation, having a schedule to write down your tasks, manual activities (cooking, sew), take care of a small garden6️⃣Fatigue: sleep when you can and respect your tiredness. You won’t be tired forever, it’s just a phase
Pregnancy is a unique moment. And it can be as beautiful as it is painful. Don’t be ashamed to feel bad, to ask for help, to cry … and to enjoy the happy moments when they arrive!
