Let’s talk about grief…

Yesterday was national grief awareness day, and I want to shed some light on the subject.
Most importantly, there is no “right way” to grieve. Grieving is long and messy. There is no time frame. There are no expectations. You’re grieving.

There are always things you want to say to people grieving, but they aren’t always the right things. If you don’t know what to say, or are struggling to find words, simply say, “I’m sorry for your loss” or “sending love and prayers.”

Lastly, if you know someone grieving, be patient. Talk to them. Be there for them. Speak the name of the person they lost. .
