The healthy baby boy was welcomed into the world at St John of God in the Perth suburb of Murdoch.
“He was due on the 27th of February… he would’ve shared a birthday with his dad and his aunty,” his mother said.
The newborn is the final addition to a family of three boys.
February 2, 2022 is a rare palindrome — a number that looks exactly the same backwards — and the odds of being born exactly when little Bodhi was are incredibly low.
Mathematician Professor Michael Small said the chances of being born at that precise second were about one in 30 million.
“It’s about the same as giving birth to quads, being struck by lightning or being dealt a royal flush in poker,” Professor Small said.
